These are not prosections or mere demonstrations – you are doing the dissecting yourself from Day 1. Tom and Todd will offer tutorials, explanations, or brief lectures on our collective findings. No previous experience with dissection is necessary to attend this course. It can be a life- and career-changing experience – this is the feedback we get most often from participants. Nothing can replace doing dissection first hand, with your own hands and eyes. What is it you want to know about? What do you want to ‘see for yourself’ (the meaning of the word ‘autopsy’)?

All our work will be with untreated cadavers – otherwise difficult to find – meaning no chemical smell and a much more ‘true-to-life’ view of fascia and tissue colouring. Untreated tissue moves through the same range of motion as the living body, and offers a very different perception of the behavior of fascial tissues.

We know this encounter with mortality can be an emotional challenge and a spiritual evocation – and we are not trying to ‘objectify’ the process.. In our classes, these aspects of the experience are very much respected. Join us on this deep voyage of discovery.

In 4 days we will go from skin to bone, including exploration of the superficial fascial layers, the myofasciae and the Anatomy Trains meridians, the organs and their attachments, joints and the spine, and the brain, meninges, and nervous system. You will work on your own donor and project, obviously, and additionally there is comparative anatomy as you learn from other people’s projects on (probably 4) other donors as well.

Pick your own project or we can help you find one. You are supported by experienced Anatomy Trains lab assistants at a table with 7-8 other participants. You can also observe the fine skills of master dissector Todd Garcia who will be demonstrating on a dedicated table, and gathering the benefits of the other projects in the room.

$500 deposit non-refundable. 50% refund for cancellation up to February 1st, 2024. Due to our investment in the donor cadavers, tuition is non-refundable after February 1, 2024.
