Please note that this is not a therapy session for those with trauma, but a professional course for those who deal with trauma.

THE EMBRYO IN US. This seminar is for those who are interested in fascia, posture and the locomotive system, but also open to philosophical questions like: What moves us, actually? Am I “moved by” … (a brain e.g.) or do I move myself? And what is the difference? All in the frame of A.T. Still’s mantra: “Man is Mind, Motion, Matter.” Special guest Tom Myers will add in short, intermittent practical sessions of his view on and the result of his digestion of the presented ideas and concepts.

Scarwork: Integrating Scar Tissue into the Fascial Web

Date(s): Jul 27 – 30, 2022
Location: Walpole, ME, USA
Price: $750.00
Early bird price held until June 27th, 2022
Integrating Scar Tissue
presented by Sharon Wheeler
Integrating Scar Tissue is Sharon Wheeler’s original discovery, and one that she is continually developing and expanding on. There are 19 separate techniques used to integrate different qualities of scar tissue into the fascial web. Most will be demonstrated in class. They are simple to learn and easy to do.
Working with scars is like speaking a different language in the world of connective tissue. Scar tissue is very dense fascia with unique properties. Scar tissue work uses a casual, light touch – a little reminiscent of working with bread dough. Practitioners will learn these techniques well enough to take them home and use them the next day in their private practices. Scar work can fit seamlessly into an SI series or be used as a stand-alone intervention session.

Integrating the Cranium
presented by Sharon Wheeler
The seventh hour is the centerpiece of the ten session Rolfing process. Dr. Rolf once said that we do the first six sessions so we can do the seventh session, and then we spend three more sessions integrating what comes out of that seventh session.
The main pattern of the techniques you will see are from Dr. Rolf with some interesting additions from Sharon. These are all direct techniques from which you may expect large amounts of structural change. Sharon teaches this endlessly fascinating subject with detail & precision, hands on individual attention and a tendency towards invention.

Location: Walpole, ME, USA
Price: $450.00
Early bird price held until July 8th, 2022
Natural Alignment and Visceral Integration in Structural Integration
presented by Alyssa Dodson
This two day introductory course presents two central ideas based on the work of Liz Gaggini, Rolfer ®. Natural Alignment is not the same for all bodies. There can be significant differences in the preferred alignment for different structures. This can most easily be seen as a difference in the preferred position of the two girdles. Understanding and assessing each client’s unique Natural Alignment helps practitioners refine their integration skills and adds a new way of looking at how each client relates to their “Line” or orientation in gravity.

ATSI Advanced Module 1 – Deeper Grounding: Advanced Assessment, Strategy and Techniques for Pelvis and Legs, Ligaments and Deep Structures
presented by Tom Myers

This includes ligaments in the foot, the interosseous membrane in the lower leg, advanced techniques to free the strong knee ligaments, the septa in the thigh, deeper work with the hamstrings, and the many important pelvic ligament sin the hips and low back to free and balance the SI joint. The idea here is to free the legs and pelvic movement to create a smooth running ‘spinal engine’ in gait and performance.
