We invite you to join Anatomy Trains author Thomas Myers in this innovative new course on the Deep Front Line, the ‘core’ of Anatomy Trains. Through lecture and guided experience you will learn common postural and emotional patterns, as expressed in the body’s “core”. How does core holding affect structure, function, and self expression?
Tom navigates an anatomical tour of the deep front line, starting at the inner arch and traveling up the inseam of the lower leg and thigh, through the pelvis and trunk, up the front of the spine to the tongue. In this course you will learn how to reliably contact and effect change via the relevant bony landmarks, fascial structures, and muscles.
Gain a new level of understanding of the deep posterior compartment of the lower leg, adductor group, hip flexors, and psoas complex in helping to maintain a healthy balance. See how the diaphragm interacts with the pelvis and the front of the spine. See how the heart is directly connected to the tongue, and other wonders of our inner structure..
- Common postural patterns of the DFL
- Small group breakouts to practice BodyReading
- Hands on demonstrations of fascial techniques for patterns held in the DFL, particularly those that impact breathing
- Learn, practice, and receive hands-on techniques for unwinding core patterns
