“I want to express my gratitude and appreciation of the webinar. Todd was amazing with his artistic dissection and I resonate with Mel’s words of how a dissection changes the way you treat as a soft tissue therapist. This was my first experience and I look forward to attending Anatomy Trains education in the future.” – Ashley Law, Structural Integrator / Bodyworker (Myotherapist)
Please join us for a new and unique Dissection Livestream focused on the Anatomy of Orthopedic Special Tests with Anatomy Trains Instructor Thadd Dudrey and Master Dissector Todd Garcia.
We have made this special offer at a very affordable price to encourage as many people to participate as possible.
As movement practitioners or manual therapists, we often have clients that end up in our office with injuries and pain. Can we determine what specifically has been injured? Can we know what tissues are causing their pain? The question may arise “Is this even a client that I should work with or should I refer them to a medical professional?”
In this livestream webinar, Thadd and Todd will provide a well thought out journey through the anatomy of the many of the most useful orthopedic assessments. Thadd will first be demonstrating how to perform the assessments correctly with a live model. We will then have the opportunity to go directly to the dissection model where Todd will expose the actual structures that we are testing, allowing us to view what is happening under the skin, to demonstrate how through the orthopedic tests the target tissues are being assessed and what the test would look like if there was an actual laxity or injury to those tissues.
These orthopedic tests can help pinpoint the source of pain and dysfunction in a joint or area of the body. Learning these tests are an invaluable tool to help clinicians and therapists accurately assess musculoskeletal injuries by isolating specific tissue structures that might be dysfunctional or damaged. Learning these orthopedic special tests help all practitioners to guide their treatment plans and provide for a more precise understanding of a client’s condition during a physical assessment by gaining valuable information about the potential location and nature of an injury. The information gathered from these tests helps to create more focused and effective therapeutic sessions. In addition, these tests also help protect therapists by letting us know when we need to refer our clients out for medical treatment. These tests are invaluable for manual and movement practitioners of all types.
The course will be divided into two sessions. One session for the upper body and one session for the lower body.
