I have been practicing integrative bodywork since 1998 as a licensed Massage Therapist with over 2000 in class hours of massage and bodywork education. I have practice alongside Osteopth, Chiropractors, and Physical Therapist, in addition to working in my own private practice. My experience has given me a well-rounded insight into spacial medicine.
Over the years, I have seen the power of touch therapy work through my clients and myself. Structural Integration has the most profound results in helping with old injuries and movement dysfunction out of all the therapies I currently practice. It creates critical awareness that helps change client movement patterns to help maintain the valuable results that usually occur after a Kinesis Myofascial Integration session.
Fascinated by the field of Structural Integration, and the results that this practice provides, I read Anatomy Tains by Tom Myers. The detailed approach of fascial anatomy lead me to train under Tom Myers between 2010 and 2011 at his school in Walpole, Maine which specializes in providing a certification in the 12 series of Kinesis Myofascial Integration.
I completed the Advanced Structural Integration Training in Maine in August 2014 which was taught under Tom Myers, this is the advanced 4 series which Tom learned under Dr. Ida P. Rolf in 1978. The advanced 4 series is appropriate for clients who have undergone a 10 or 12 series of Structural Integration. The KMI Advanced Series concentrates on the ‘inner bag’ using manual techniques to reach into joint spaces via peri-articular tissue and the ligament bed.
Maintaining an active lifestyle through weight training, mixed martial arts, running, and yoga, as well as eating a balanced diet of whole foods is a cornerstone of my lifestyle.
I am Board Certified through the International Association of Structural Integrators (IASI) and Licensed in New Jersey and New York to practice Massage and Bodywork.
