Join us for two inspiring live webinars from Anatomy Trains and Fascia Training Academy that explore what it really takes to help athletes perform, recover, and stay resilient over the long term.
Moderated by Anatomy Trains CEO Mel Burns (who is also a 3 sport athlete), the series brings together a world class group of clinicians, movement and fascia experts, and elite rugby athletes who are in the middle of a competitive tournament with players from around the world. We often hear from coaches and personal trainers, this is a great opportunity to see and hear from the athletes themselves in a clinical setting.
On November 8, Anatomy Trains Senior Teacher Michael Watson will work live with professional rugby players and physical education professionals, offering a rare opportunity to see BodyReading, whole-body assessment, manual therapy, and movement strategies applied to the demands of high-impact sport.
On November 9, Bill Parisi of Fascia Training Academy, Dr. Mario Víctor Larraín, and former Argentina National Rugby Team players Mauro Adrian Comuzzi and Leandro “Lipa” Urriza will expand the conversation to strength, fascia, recovery, injury, and athletic longevity. Together, these sessions offer practical insights and fresh perspectives for anyone interested in helping athletes and active clients move, perform, recover, and thrive for years to come.

Working with Professional Athletes in High-Impact Sports: BodyReading, Whole-Body Patterns & Strategies for Resilience, Recovery and Performance Live Online with Michael Watson, moderated by Mel Burns
What does it take to work effectively with athletes who repeatedly experience high levels of impact, load, and physical demand?
In this special 2-hour live webinar, Anatomy Trains Senior Teacher Michael Watson brings his extensive experience as a former rugby player and clinician to the field of professional sport. Working live from his clinic in Bermuda, Michael will demonstrate how BodyReading, whole-body pattern assessment, manual therapy, and movement strategies can be integrated to support athletes before, during, and after a competitive season.
Joining Michael will be two professional rugby players and physical education professionals, Mauro Adrian Comuzzi and Leandro Javier “Lipa” Urriza, providing an opportunity live to explore the realities of high-impact sport and observe how assessment and treatment strategies can be adapted to the individual athlete.
Michael will demonstrate how he looks beyond the site of pain or injury to identify body-wide patterns of tension, compensation, load, and movement that may influence performance, recovery, and resilience.
In this webinar, you’ll explore:
- BodyReading and postural assessment for high-performance athletes
- How to identify body-wide patterns rather than focusing solely on the site of symptoms
- Strategies for working with athletes pre-season, in-season, and post-season
- Approaches to preparing the body for impact, load, and competition
- Manual therapy strategies to support recovery after high-impact activity
- How movement can be used to develop greater resilience and adaptability
- Working with the athlete’s individual history, demands, and movement strategies
- How manual therapy and movement can complement an athlete’s broader training and recovery program
- Clinical considerations for working with athletes who experience repetitive impact and cumulative load
Michael will share not only what he does, but how he thinks when assessing and working with an athlete—giving practitioners a window into the clinical reasoning behind his approach.
The session will be moderated by Mel Burns, CEO of Anatomy Trains, with opportunities to hear directly from the professional rugby players about their experience of training, competition, impact, recovery, and working with practitioners.
Whether you work with professional athletes, competitive amateurs, or active clients who place high demands on their bodies, this webinar offers a practical look at applying Anatomy Trains principles to high-impact sport.

Training for Longevity: The Fascia, Strength & Movement Connection Live Online with Bill Parisi, Dr. Mario Víctor Larraín, Mauro Adrian Comuzzi, and Leandro Javier “Lipa” Urriza, moderated by Mel Burns
What does it take to keep athletes strong, resilient, and performing at a high level—not just for one season, but for a lifetime?
In high-impact sports like rugby, the body is constantly asked to absorb force, produce power, change direction, and recover from repeated physical stress. Training for performance is only part of the equation. The bigger question is how we can train the body to adapt, recover, and remain capable over the long term.
Join Anatomy Trains, Fascia Training Academy, and the Argentina Legends for a special conversation exploring how strength, fascia, movement, recovery, and athletic experience can come together to support performance and longevity in high-impact athletes, moderated by Anatomy Trains CEO Mel Burns.
Drawing on the expertise of leading fascia and movement educators alongside the real-world experience of former elite rugby players and their MD, we’ll explore:
- Training for longevity: How the approach to training may need to evolve as athletes move through different stages of their careers
- Fascia and athletic performance: Understanding the fascial system as part of the body’s capacity to transmit force, coordinate movement, and adapt to load
- Strength beyond the numbers: Why strength is more than how much an athlete can lift—and how movement quality, elasticity, coordination, and recovery contribute to long-term performance
- Managing impact and load: Strategies for preparing the body for the repeated forces and demands of sports like rugby
- Common injuries: Discussions of how concussion protocol has changed, what to look out for, how to best treat
- The mature athlete: What changes when an athlete has years—or decades—of training and competition behind them?
- From performance to durability: How we can shift the goal from simply producing more output to building a body that can continue to perform, adapt, and recover.
The Argentina Legends bring a unique perspective to the conversation: athletes who have experienced the demands of elite rugby firsthand and understand what it takes to continue moving, training, competing, and performing long after their professional careers, as well as the medical doctor who has worked with national team players for the majority of his esteemed career.
This is a conversation about more than rugby.
It’s about how we build bodies that can keep doing what they love for as long as possible.
