By purchasing this product you are registering for the following two webinars:
The Thoracolumbar Junction (TLJ) is a key organising region in the body, acting as a structural bridge between the thorax and pelvis. Within Structural Integration, this area is central to Ida Rolf’s concept of the “Line”—the vertical organisation of the body in gravity that supports ease, efficiency, and coordinated movement.
The TLJ is also a critical meeting point of the Anatomy Trains Deep Front Line (DFL), linking the diaphragm, crura, psoas, pelvic floor, and lower limbs into a continuous system of support. When this region is well organised, the DFL can transmit load and information effectively through the centre of the body, supporting upright posture, breathing mechanics, and functional gait. When it is restricted or overworked, compensations commonly appear both above and below.
In this two-part webinar, we explore the TLJ through the lens of Structural Integration, combining contemporary anatomy and movement science with Ida Rolf’s original insights into the lumbar hinge and vertical alignment. You will learn to recognise common TLJ patterns, understand their impact on posture and movement, and apply practical assessment, movement, and manual strategies to support better organisation through the Line.
This webinar is designed for Structural Integration practitioners, physiotherapists, osteopaths, and movement professionals and connects directly with the principles introduced in the Core to Contour webinar. If you are interested in purchasing the Core to Contour webinar, which is previously recorded, please email us at info@anatomytrains.com.
Recordings will be provided via password-protected streaming access for lifetime access. Check your registration details email upon purchase for access to Part 1!
The Thoracolumbar Junction Part 2 Live Online with Michael Watson
This second webinar continues the exploration of the thoracolumbar junction (TLJ) as the body’s central exchange zone. Building on the concepts introduced in Part 1, we shift from theory into lived experience—examining how touch, movement, safety, and timing are perceived and expressed through the TLJ.
This webinar is designed for Structural Integration practitioners, physiotherapists, osteopaths, and movement professionals who want to deepen perception, refine pacing, and support integration beyond technique. Continuing Education credits (CEs) are available for eligible participants. Students will have lifetime access to the recording.
This part will be provided over Zoom webinar with live chat and Q&A.
