Join master dissector Todd Garcia and Anatomy Trains CEO and dissection lab instructor Melanie Burns for a two-hour live-streamed fresh tissue cadaver dissection exploring the deepest and most architecturally complex of the myofascial meridians – the lower Deep Front Line. This is the third in a series of layered fascial dissection, exploring the mastery of Tom Myers’ vision of the anatomy of connection.
This session goes beyond static anatomy to reveal how the lower DFL moves the body through space and expresses what Tom Myers calls anatomical core.
In this two-hour event, we will feature a high-quality dissection of anatomical structures and their fascial continuity leading to and into the lower deep front line:
- The Quadratus Lumborum and quadriceps group (Rectus Femoris, Vastus Intermedius, Vastus Lateralis, Vastus Medialis)
- The iliopsoas attachment to the lesser trochanter
- The deep lateral rotators (Piriformis, Gemelli, Quadratus Femoris, Obturator Internus & Externus)
- The hamstrings and their relationship to the sciatic nerve
- The fascial connection of Adductor Magnus to the pelvic floor
- The adductor group — Pectineus, Brevis, Longus, and Magnus
- Popliteus, Tibialis Posterior, Flexor Hallucis Longus, and Flexor Digitorum Longus
- The interosseous membrane of the leg and the tibial nerve
Through precise, layered dissection and discussion, you will see how these structures function as an integrated system — stabilizing the core, supporting the arch, and giving the body its deep postural and locomotor intelligence.
Ideal for structural integrators, manual therapists, movement educators, and anyone preparing for “The Big Show” of the Deep Front Line on August 14/15, this webinar offers a rare opportunity to see the DFL not as a list of parts, but as an integrated, moving whole.
We will provide an extended 30 days access to the recordings for this special event.
Friday, July 24, 2026
6:00 – 8:00 PM EDT
This course will be provided over zoom webinar with multiple camera views, live chat and Q&A. Recordings will be provided via password protected streaming access for a special extension of 30 days. This special dissection livestream format allows us to go more deeply into the relationships and applications to multiple manual and movement modalities, from athletic training to trauma resolution to osteopathy.
