FAMO Teaching & Functional Sequencing empowers you in creating an interconnected “tensegrity” of the skills and knowledge you have acquired. The course also introduces a new dimension to teaching by providing methods for lesson planning with specific functional outcomes.

About the Course

By the end of the course, you will gain an advanced understanding of the FAMO Fascia Movement concept, its scope, and practical applications, as well as an enhanced set of teaching skills.

Learning Outcomes

By participating in this course, you will:

  • Deepen your understanding of Anatomy Trains in Motion and FAMO Focus
  • Understand the 8 FAMO teaching principles
  • Learn methods for creating movement sequences and lessons with specific functional outcomes using the FAMO Practice 1, 2, and 3 repertoire
  • Acquire an advanced understanding of the FAMO Fascia Movement concept, its scope, and practical applications
  • Gain an enhanced set of teaching skills

Course Highlights

This practice-oriented course is divided into 3 distinct yet interrelated components:

  • Anatomy Trains in Motion and FAMO Focus core competencies
  • FAMO teaching principles
  • FAMO functional sequencing

Since understanding the end of a series is key to fully appreciating the beginning, this final course of the diploma program starts with a refresher, refinement, and deepening of the core competencies of Anatomy Trains in Motion and FAMO Focus. The teaching mode is interactive, and the approach playful.

Next, we will discuss and practically apply 8 FAMO teaching principles.

From there, the focus shifts to functional design and methods for lesson planning with specific functional outcomes. You will draw from the FAMO Practice 1, 2, and 3 repertoire to create movement sequences that:

  • Prepare for complex or challenging exercises
  • Are self-contained and interchangeable within a lesson
  • Emphasise particular goals
  • Focus on a specific target audience

This is an invaluable skill that synergises anatomy-based strategies with seamless flow, function and aesthetics, play, and purpose.

Part of FAMO Diploma
