Helping women who have given birth both vaginally and through c-section.

A focused class for those who have taken at least one ScarWork class; this is ‘scar work’ related to pregnancy.

In addition to ScarWork specific approaches, releasing the diaphragms and other body restrictions caused by childbirth will be taught.

Many factors contribute to women having structural and functional trouble after childbirth. Vaginal delivery, C-section, VBAC and assisted vaginal delivery (forceps or vacuum extraction) are mentioned in medical literature as the four most common delivery options. Each of these delivery methods – including things like valsalva maneuver – may cause structural damage to the mother. Women accept this damage as a normal consequence of having children.

This workshop addresses these structural distortions women acquire. It gives you a way to help them regain much of what they have lost.

*Due to unforeseen circumstances, this course will be led by Anatomy Trains author Tom Myers, who has taught a closely related course for over 20 years.
