Presented by Kieran Schumaker

In the second Part of the Manual Neurovascular Release course series, you will continue working strategically with the vascular system to release hypertonic muscles that are shortening the myofascial tracks, distorting posture, and limiting movement. You will further develop your skills and strategies for freeing up peripheral nerves, cranial nerves, and dural restrictions to improve structural balance and function.

In Manual NVR Part 2, we will complete our work with the torso and we will work comprehensively with the pelvis, hips, and thighs while we further develop your subtle assessment skills, applying this approach to “listening” to what the body needs and is telling you and keeping in mind our goals of improving structural balance and freedom in movement.

The techniques that you learn in this five-part course series have a certain precision to them, making them particularly effective for fine-tuning structural balance. Our deep dive into the details will help you hone your subtle palpation and assessment skills. We will work from the torso out to the periphery, freeing vasculature, nerves, dura, and viscera.

This approach is great for every client or patient who can use an extra nudge to help them emerge from an old structural pattern, especially for athletes and other people with activity- or injury-based imbalances. After each of the NVR courses, you’ll want to invite your past clients/patients back for a few tune-up sessions that incorporate NVR.

For the Manual NVR course series offered in Maine, you will register in two stages:

    • Register for the live classes portion of each course through the Anatomy Trains site for $700 (Early Bird price $600).
    • Register for the pre- and post-course mentoring package for $300 directly through Kier. This includes:
        • A one-to-one video call with Kier in preparation for the course.
        • Private fifteen-minute student consultations via Zoom (short mentoring sessions, each focused on one client case, as many as you need, scheduled when you need answers to your questions throughout the year after your course has completed).
        • Student discount on longer 45-minute mentoring sessions via Zoom ($80 instead of $150).
        • A three-month subscription to the NVR Monthly Seminar Series (a total of six hours of live sessions and recordings).
      • For students enrolling in both Part 1 and Part 2 this summer, Kier has provided a bundle price for the post-course mentoring and review videos for both courses. They have also provided a monthly payment option, which you will see if you use the price drop-down menu. Here is the link to register: https://learn.neurovascular-release.online/bundles/nvr-part-1-and-2-in-maine-mentoring-and-online-resources-bundle

(Every month there will be one session scheduled at 9 am Pacific time and another approximately two weeks later at 4 pm Pacific time. After the initial three free months, the regular subscription price is $150 per three-month package.)

      • Online access to videos documenting all the techniques taught in your live course.

Future study opportunities in this course series:

In Manual NVR Parts 3 and 4, we will work into the extremities, discussing lower body patterns and upper body patterns, and you will continue learning to address neurovascular restrictions affecting the lungs and other organs.

NVR Part 5 is a practicum focused on assessment and practical application, in which you will  be applying all that you have learned in Parts 1-4 while doing full sessions with outside models.

Practitioners earn Anatomy Trains Advanced Certification in Manual Neurovascular Release by taking all five Parts in the Manual NVR course series. (Part 3 is scheduled in Maine for October 2022, and Parts 4 and 5 will be offered in Maine in the summer of 2023.)
