Integrated Anatomy with Tom Myers
£450 / £550 after March 1, 2020
- Course Details
Designed for manual therapists, yoga + Pilates teachers
Join Anatomy Trains author Tom Myers to immerse yourself in a new understanding of life’s cycles from our humblest embryology to our last mighty breath. Feel into your body as you have never seen it before.
Share the exciting recent discoveries in plasticity – neural, genetic, chemical, and fascial – that illuminate postural compensation and trauma resolution. Designed for today’s manual therapist, yoga or Pilates teacher, this course provides a relatable picture of how the fascial webbing works in learning, injury repair, and pain.
Explore your ‘kinesthetic literacy’ and add to what you know about developmental movement. What is missing in your felt sense, in your body image? Learn how the brain listens to fascia but talks to muscles. Learn to read the postural patterns that lead either to or from pain – physical or emotional – and strategies for unwinding these patterns back to an easy balance.
Learn to reach the core from the arches of the feet to the fans of muscle around the hip. We explore breath, putting spring back into the spine, draping the shoulders over the ribs, and ending with the neck, head, and jaw.
See anatomical patterns through Tom’s unique Anatomy Trains myofascial meridians. Discover how yoga, loaded movement, and fascial release might be best applied to attune and integrate our neuromyofascial web.
