From Heart to Hands – Part 2: Further exploration of the superficial and deep roots of the arms through Neurovascular Release™” by Kieran (Kier) Schumaker
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Eastern Time (US)
Note: If you cannot attend this session live, it will be recorded and all registrants will have recording access for 45 days.
In this webinar, we continue to explore the thoracic outlet and roots of the Arm Lines. Kier will be leading you through a self-treatment approach that you could also use in working with clients. We will start by finding greater freedom in neck rotation through movement and palpation of the supraclavicular and accessory nerves that are associated with trapezius and SCM. Then we will continue to improve lateral flexion and rotation of the neck through gentle release of the artery network supplying trapezius, rhomboids, levator scapula, and scalenes. Next Kier will introduce the intercostobrachial nerves, a useful handle for working with restriction at the cervicothoracic junction. We will also touch in on the medial and ulnar nerves, and then will wrap up our tour of the thoracic outlet with a short review of the brachial plexus techniques previously introduced in the webinar From Heart to Hands Part 1. Finally, we will wrap up with an integrative neurovascularly-informed stretching strategy for further opening of the Arm Lines from the roots to the tips of the branches.
Even though this class is a natural sequel to From Heart to Hands Part 1, it absolutely can stand alone and there are no prerequisites to attend.
NOTE: Please have a tennis ball in a sock, plus have a wet washcloth in a bowl available during this webinar. Also please have a blank section of wall 2-3 feet wide near the computer, where you can watch the computer screen while you stand leaning against the wall.
