Fascial Dissection, January 18th-22nd 2016
Join this unique opportunity to work with anatomist and bodyworker Tom Myers and master dissector Todd Garcia doing your own fascial dissection projects! Working with all untreated cadavers, in 5 days we will go from skin to bone, including exploration of the superficial fascial layers, the myofascia and Anatomy Trains, the viscera and their attachments, and the brain and nerve tracts.
Pick your own project, or we can help you find one – including dissecting the Anatomy Trains myofascial meridians. A unique opportunity to follow your own lights in the body, as well as learn from what everyone else is doing. Each morning we will apply all we have learned. We will meet in a nearby Pilates / yoga studio to put into practice through movement, exercise, various kinds of stretch, bodyreading, and manual therapy – as well as answering your questions.
Enhance your understanding of the body through direct experience of what you touch and move. All professionals who work with the body are welcome in this class.
