About Joy Carey
Joy Carey, M.S., is a structural integration practitioner with a master’s in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation and a deep passion for scar recovery. She began her manual therapy journey in 2012 through an apprenticeship with Bill Harvey and then earned her Hellerwork certification in 2017. Shortly after, Joy began studying ScarWork with Sharon Wheeler and has since assisted her internationally, including teaching care teams for Ukrainian veterans, aiding their healing process from amputations. Dedicated to making ScarWork more accessible, Joy now teaches continuing education for bodyworkers and integrates insights from her ongoing studies in manual therapy and osteopathy into her practice and teaching.
