The Franklin Method (FM) is an evidence-based approach to the use of imagery and embodied functional anatomy to optimize movement in pilates, yoga, dance, sport, therapy and everyday life. Metaphors and anatomical concepts are developed in a student-centered manner and used in different spaces, inside, outside, local and global. The approach focuses on the embodiment of functional anatomy and correct biomechanics through Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery
(DNI). Somatosensory aspects are emphasized: Modulation of muscle and organ tone and fascial mobility, proprioception and improvements in body schema.
