Ramona Peoples

London, UK

My own journey into bodywork and movement began in 1999 when a physiotherapist friend recommended I try Pilates to help with a shoulder injury. So off I went and did just that – I have not looked back!

Today, I am as passionate about the body in movement as I was then. It is this passion that keeps me striving to find ways for each client to become more aware of their body and their whole self, so that they can enjoy moving with more ease or with less/no pain, prevent injuries, recover from injuries and feel better and healthier overall.

I have studied Structural Integration (ATSI) with Tom Myers and James Earls, Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT) with Til Luchau, Active Fascial Release (AFR) with James Earls and ScarWork Therapy by Sharon Wheeler. I hold an MSc in Dance Science from Laban in London, a diploma in Applied Functional Science (Gray Institute) and a diploma in Somatic Movement Education (Franklin Institute). I am a Yoga Alliance International certified graduate of CamYoga Teacher training (RYT 200) and I am also Pilates certified by Polestar Pilates and Body Control Pilates. During my studies and practice, I meet wonderful teachers and I have made friends from other Somatic schools and practices such as Feldenkrais and Body-Mind Centering and those teachings keep influencing my own practice and my work.

My client base covers a broad spectrum and all ages. I practice in a complementary health centre in South East London where I also teach regular classes and workshops. I have a special interest in women’s health.
