Patricia started on the path of helping people improve their bodies as a yoga teacher, in the Iyengar method in 1994. She now has Featherlane Studio, a small yoga studio on her land in Bass Harbor, Maine where she teaches 9 classes/week and practices Polarity Therapy and KMI structural integration.
Patricia has always loved movement. She studied modern dance and has been active in contact improvisation and authentic movement groups. She started practicing yoga at the age of 45, after working in the restaurant business and raising two daughters.
It was just after the World Trade Center disaster that she started her study of Polarity Therapy and cranial sacral work in New York with Energy Arts, and she continued studying and practicing there even after she moved to Maine in 2004.
Her most recent study is KMI. She graduated from Tom Myer’s Walpole, Maine 2008 class. KMI goes very well indeed with her other practices. It opens doors to greater understanding of the human body and mind.
Patricia is currently studying visceral manipulation with the Barral Institute.
