As a body worker since 2002, Mike is the owner and operator of Synergy Bodyworks. Within this practice he offers Structural Integration, Orthopedic massage and exploration of movement through individual Pilates instruction.
A student of motion, Mike has actively practiced Shotokan Karate since 1972 and volunteers his time as an instructor at the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently on staff at Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics, where he teaches group Pilates classes. Mike enjoys increasing local awareness of the benefits of Structural Integration and Visceral Manipulation in his role as a faculty member at the Massage Therapy Institute of Western Pennsylvania.
Mike is a member of the International Structural Integrators Association (IASI) and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). He is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). He received his certification in the classical Pilates method through Peak Pilates.
