I am a teacher and therapist with 26 years of experience facilitating the personal growth and development of individuals through body oriented approaches to therapy and education. At the heart of my work is a deep appreciation for the life of the body and the wisdom of the organism, and the value of mindfulness and sensory awareness in our functioning. I have a BFA in Dance from Ohio University and a MA in Movement Therapy from the Goddard Graduate Program at Vermont College. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Board Certified (IASI) Structural Integration practitioner. I have studied extensively with Tom Myers, and am a KMI certified Structural Integrator. I have also completed a Cranial Sacral Therapy Certification program through the Rolf Institute with Jim Asher. For the past 20+ years, I have been a part of an on-going study with Robert Kest, Phd, a student of Charlotte Selver’s, focusing on the biopsychological foundations of structure and movement. I have taught at both the high school and college level, and have worked as a movement therapist in private practice and in hospital settings. I currently reside in Portland, Maine with my family where I maintain a private practice.
