About Me
Hi, I’m Kevin Lin – Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Board Certified Structural Integrator (BCSI), and the founder of Move Like You: the best place to receive structural integration and professional bodywork services in the Greater Boston area.
My Path to Becoming a Structural Integration Practitioner
My fascination with the human body began in high school while volunteering in the athletic training facility. As a runner myself, I was captivated by how targeted care could help athletes optimize their performance and recover effectively. This early curiosity set me on a lifelong journey of understanding how the body moves, compensates, and heals.
Education & Professional Journey
I became a licensed massage therapist in 2012, followed by an orthopedic massage certification in 2013. In 2021, I deepened my knowledge by completing Thomas Myers’ Anatomy Trains Structural Integration program, founded by a leading figure in the fascial research and integrative bodywork field. This advanced training allowed me to explore how fascia—the body’s connective tissue—plays a crucial role in movement and chronic pain patterns.
My Approach: Tackling the Root Causes of Pain
My clinical interest as a bodywork therapist and structural integration practitioner is in understanding how our bodies move as an integrated whole. Often, when one area becomes restricted, another part compensates, leading to dysfunctional movement patterns and chronic discomfort. I work with clients to release these restrictions by addressing the fascial system—the network of connective tissue that binds every part of our body together. When fascia becomes restricted, muscles lose their ability to glide smoothly, resulting in tightness, stiffness, or weakness.
My goal is to restore that glide, bringing ease back into movement through fascial release therapy. By enhancing your body’s natural mobility, we reduce compensatory patterns and minimize chronic pain, empowering you to return to the activities you love–or prevent injury in the first place.
Outside the Treatment Room
When I’m not working at my office in the Greater Boston area, I enjoy weight training, dancing, video games, and diving into a good book. This balance reflects my belief in a well-rounded approach to life—nurturing both the body and mind.
