Joanne Avison has been working in Human Resource training for over twenty-five years, moving into Yoga in the early 90s, in the style of Vanda Scaravelli. Joanne was fascinated by the manual & movement applications of Structural Integration when she met Tom Myers in 98, going on to became a Kinesis Myofascial Integration (KMI) practitioner and a Certified Teacher of Kinesis (CTK), devoted to bringing Anatomy Trains to Movement Practitioners. Jo is a member of IASI and Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500). Her extensive studies in the UK and US include practicing human dissection, CranioSacral Therapy and graduating from the Caroline Myss Education Institute (CMED), USA. Her passion is for Anatomy Trains™ and Anatomy of the Spirit™ and how integrating different maps can facilitate and alchemise powerful change in people’s energy and sustained access to it. Jo teaches all over the world and is principal of AOCY.org a Registered Yoga Teacher Training School in the Art of Contemporary Yoga & the Science of Body Architecture in London & Germany. She practices in Lewes, near Brighton (England), teaches Yoga and short courses in Myofascial Anatomy.
