Jenn Slade is a Structural Integration practitioner (ATSI) and movement educator. As a life-long athlete and movement enthusiast, Jenn found bodywork through completing a yoga instructor certification in 2014, where she discovered a love for human anatomy which inspired her to subsequently pursue an education in massage and bodywork therapy, becoming a licensed bodyworker in 2015.
For over a decade Jenn has practiced, taught, and studied movement and manual therapy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in pre-medical studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Master’s degree in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Movement from Concordia University. Jenn completed her certification in Anatomy Trains Structural Integration in 2022.
Jenn maintains a Structural Integration practice in Wilmington, NC, and outside of clinical practice she teaches weekly group movement classes as well as offering workshops and mentorship for healthcare and movement professionals. Jenn has had the immense privilege of assisting Anatomy Trains human dissection courses alongside Tom Myers, Todd Garcia, and Melanie Burns in the Laboratories for Anatomical Enlightenment in Boulder, Colorado.
In clinical practice Jenn specializes in working with athletes and active adults, helping them find increased freedom of movement in their bodies so that they can do more of what they love without pain holding them back. Jenn sees structural bodywork as a tool for graceful aging, performance optimization, injury rehabilitation, and increasing overall body awareness. She is passionate about helping her clients feel more at home and at ease in their bodies and sees herself as a “teacher first,” helping the people she works with feel and understand more about themselves and the patterns they inhabit.
Outside of clinical practice, Jenn enjoys traveling, hanging out with her two rescue pups, and spending as much time as possible outdoors through activities such as running, surfing, and scuba diving.
