My decision to practice SI comes from my own personal experience with pain that was compromising my lifestyle and health in general. Debilitating back pain was limiting my ability to enjoy life in the active style I enjoyed and was affecting my ability to work and earn a living! Having tried many approaches to alleviating this problem with limited success, my path led me to Structural Bodywork. In the first session I became aware of movement I didn’t think was possible. After the second session I told my practitioner that he had to teach me this method! That was the beginning of a now lifelong journey of study of Structural Integrative Bodywork. This led to my certification with the CORE Institute. Further exploration led me to Thomas Myers and certification in his method, Kinesis Myofascial Integration (KMI).

In finding the Anatomy Trains approach, I found my “roadmap” of the body. An atlas that unleashed the imagination to “travel” to all destinations within the body’s structure, one that truly defined for me the meaning of possibility.

So, into this mix of possibilities, I add what I have taken from my study of yoga into my application of “THE WORK”, which, for me, creates a broader universe to this body of work.

My approach and application of my practice of SI is that of a dance, a dance I do WITH my clients, not TO them!

I am certified in structural integration by the International Assocation of Structural Integrators (IASI).
