Janice Thomas

Bennington, VT, USA

Hi! I have been interested in wellness maintenance my entire adult life. After studying nutrition for a BS degree, I worked in the fitness industry with adults of all ages with the intent of fostering a love of and commitment to a lifestyle of wellness. I became licensed as a massage therapist in 1995 and practiced relaxation work while teaching a variety of subjects (anatomy and physiology, neuromuscular therapy, myology, swedish, pathology) in two NYS massage schools. During this time I became very interested in the physiology of stress and emotions and their connection to the tensional patterns of soft tissues throughout the body. It became my desire to study this relationship and apply it to, and in, my practice. To this end I attended the KMI school of structural integration in Walpole ME with Tom Myers. I became certified in KMI in May, 2005.
