Franziska Held

Cheshire, Alderley Edge, UK

Fran has practiced as a passionate Physiotherapist for almost 20 years. During her professional career she has worked with elderly people in postoperative and rehab situations, chronic pain patients in her private practice as well with young professional sportsmen and women in a Swiss Olympic Medical Centre.

Feeling that classical physiotherapy sometimes was not enough for helping her clients, she was looking for a more hollistic treatment of the human body. That’s how she stumbled upon Tom Myers book ‘Anatomy Trains – Myofascial Meridians’. She learnt how fascia connects all the cells in the body, that restricted areas far from the pain could be the source of it and that it was possible to ease all that tension to give the body the possibility to heal. She was immediately inspired, signed up for the classes and completed the training in Structural Integration in 2022.

Currently living in the Area of Greater Manchester, Fran sees clients of all ages and activity levels. Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) is her main focus in these treatments. But be assured that her knowledge from physio and sports gets into her work as well. And as a curious mind her learning journey is ongoing and Fran will always dig into new areas to help her clients.
