Kathryn Martin has always been interested in structure, mechanics, and the interaction of our humanity, space, and function. These interests inspired her study of Engineering and English Literature, but it wasn’t until she began studying human movement that these dual interests came together. Integral movement and anatomy with a fascial focus united her interests in structure, function, and the human condition. Kathryn is inspired daily by the empowering capacity of mindful movement practices to support function, comfort, health, trust, and strength in one’s entire being.
Anatomy Trains in Motion lit a spark of curiosity for all things body and fascia, motivating her continued learning. After completing her Slings Myofascial Training Advanced Level Certification, Kathryn pursued her Anatomy Trains Structural Integration Certification, learning directly from Tom Myers. Kathryn now offers both Structural Integration Bodywork and Slings Myofascial Training in Boston, USA. She aims to motivate and empower others by exciting their curiosity and joy in their own bodies. Kathryn enjoys being in her body most when she is outdoors in a natural environment, whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or reading a good book.
