Competitive sports have been a major focus in Kunnee’s life spanning from high school level and NCAA level and all the way through Federation International Basketball (FIBA) level. Including the rigors of everyday’s life the body’s ability to more quickly and aggressively leads to wear and tear. For this reason, early on Kunnee sought out methodologies to minimize and shorten the recovery time from these injuries whether from everyday’s life or sports.
After trying various modalities to relieve pain and restore function, Structural Integration presented itself as the most effective way to correct the fascia factors leading to pain and decreased performance. The main objective of Structural Integration is to reset the alignment of the fascial system and to reactivate musculoskeletal system. So that they can be more complimentary relationship when integrating.
Given that the fascia has a tendency wanting to return to its previous alignment, Kunnee has found that long term corrections are best facilitated by also improving the muscular strength to maintain the balance consistently. An additional benefit to pain relief and minimize injuries is that in many sports activities such as tennis or golf, the corrections can be tailored to the relationship of the fascia and muscular system in a manner that enhances better performance.
This approach of Structural Integration is of great value in upholding pain relief and enhancing performance in sports and activities of daily living. Besides Structural Integration, Kunnee also added Visceral Manipulation, Brain Manipulation and Nerve Manipulation in the package. All these techniques are complimentary to one another.
