Yaron Gal Carmel has worked as a bodyworker since 1987 and trained in numerous massage therapy modalities in Israel, Europe and the United States. In 1995 he was certified in Thailand Traditional Massage at the Thai-Massage International Center MA. He collaborated with Maxine Shapiro, LAc, LMT on the textbook, The Dancing Meditation of Thailand Traditional Massage.

Yaron studied extensively with Tom Myers, Advanced Rolfer, and is certified as a Kinesis-Myofascial Integration (KMI) Structural Integration Practitioner and Teacher of Kinesis.

He teaches workshops in “Anatomy Trains” and has served on the faculty of the Muscular Therapy Institute in Watertown, MA, where he has taught Anatomy, Kinesiology, Thailand Massage, Swedish Massage and Polarity techniques. He teaches certificate training courses in Thailand Traditional Massage, as well as his own method, “Thai-S.I.,” which incorporates his background in anatomy, kinesiology, Yoga, martial arts, sports and mechanical engineering. Yaron Gal Carmel is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider # 450098-06 Category A.

His classroom is known for its liveliness and fun, with experiential exercises, hands-on applications, and attention to therapist self-care. Massage and movement therapists alike are inspired and moved by learning experiences with Yaron.

Yaron co-founded the Therapy Center for Mind and Body, where he maintains a busy private practice. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and daughter.
