Tom Flemons
Tom Flemons is a sculptor and inventor living on a gulf island off of Canada's west coast. He has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Simon Fraser University (1983) and a BFA from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver (1990). Tom has worked with the principle of tensegrity for over 25 years, designing sculptures, furniture, mobiles, and toys. A popular toy called Skwish is sold world wide and has introduced millions of children to tensegrity structures. Since 1985 he has also been actively involved in designing and inventing tensegrity representations of human anatomy. As a geometer he brings new ideas to the exploration of living structure and offers a range of educational biotensegrity models to interested clinicians and practitioners.
