Chicago, Ill. – June 5, 2006 – Kinesis, Inc. today announced that Tom Myers, founder and director of Kinesis and author of Anatomy Trains®: Myofascial Meridians for Manual and Movement Therapists, has been invited to speak at the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) USA annual meeting from June 8 to June 11, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois.
The keynote speech will take place on Friday, June 9th from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, and will be followed by an overview of the Anatomy Trains concepts from 2:00 until 3:30 pm. The advanced workshop will take place on Saturday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am.
“I’d like to thank Dr. George Goodheart for inviting me to speak
this year,” said Tom Myers, director of Kinesis, Inc.
“The Anatomy Trains presents a new
map of the fascial network within the body, and chiropractors in particular,
can appreciate and benefit from a deeper understanding of the
‘anatomy of connection’.”
About Anatomy Trains
The Anatomy Trains myofascial
meridians include eleven lines in total, all living within a unitary
fascial network which, in turn, surrounds and suspends the individual
bones of the skeleton. The 'Anatomy Trains' myofascial meridians is
a revolutionary map for analyzing whole-body soft-tissue patterns that
leads to new strategies for unwinding these patterns via manipulation
and movement-oriented work. The Anatomy Trains concept provides a useful
language to build links among manual and movement therapists, including
acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists, osteopaths, physical
therapists, Pilates and yoga instructors, as well as athletic coaches
and personal trainers.
