Spectrum Rolfing ©
A 100- hour intensive course in Living Anatomy, Touch and Movement
April 5 - 20, 2008 - near Munich, Germany
Spectrum Rolfing is a two-week intensive course that will give you a comprehensive introduction into the world of bodywork from a Rolfing perspective. It will provide you with new insights in the areas of body structure, movement coordination, three-dimensional fascial and functional anatomy and manual bodywork skills.
Especially designed for those preparing for the Rolfing Certification Training, this course is also an appropriate practice seminar for any bodyworker wishing to refresh and deepen their knowledge in the field of structure, movement and touch. It is equally inspiring for those without a professional background who are curious about the human body and its functioning.
Through modeling with clay on a skeleton, palpation, manual tissue work with one another, by bodyreading of the structural and functional patterns you work with and experience the basic concepts of Rolfing and movement re-education.
The instructors
Christoph Sommer is a Certified Advanced Rolfer and teacher in training at the European Rolfing Association. He has been practicing in Munich since 1986. Additional training in fascia and membrane technique (with Peter Schwind) and visceral osteopathy (with J.P. Barral) has lead him to broadening the classic perspective. With a refined spectrum of touch - communicating with the inner human shape - his work aims at enhancing the potential for movement and human self-expression.
France Hatt-Arnold is a member of the Rolf Institute Movement Faculty. She has been practicing Rolfing and Rolfing Movement in Geneva, Switzerland since 1986. her work is combining the traditional Rolfing Movement approach with the new concepts of coordination from Hubert Godard.
Thomas Myers studied directly with Drs. Ida Rolf, Moshe Feldenkrais, Buckminster Fuller and movement teachers Judith Aston, Emilie Conrad. His work is influenced by cranial, visceral, and intrinsic movement studies he made with European schools of osteopathy.
Author of Anatomy Trains (Elsevier 2001) and a set of supporting videos, Tom has also penned over 60 articles for trade magazines and journals on anatomy, soft tissue manipulation, and the social scourge of somatic alienation and loss of reliance on kinesthetic intelligence.
Living on the coast of Maine, Tom directs Kinesis, which conducts professional certification and continuing education courses worldwide.
