Working with the Anatomy Trains has enabled me as a movement teacher/personal trainer to really look at the body 3 dimensionally and not the usual 2 D image, i.e. front and back. The Anatomy Trains has helped me understand the connectiveness of the Myofascial Meridans and the impact these have on posture and movement: being able to read the body with a simple 4 word format and looking locally but really viewing the body globally. This helps the client to understand what we are working and focusing on, engaging them effectively in the process. This approach facilitates quicker results, changes habitual patterns and really changes people's minds about their bodies. This work is starting to be adopted into sports, such as premiership football clubs (Bolton Wanderes). I have recently been working with the British Canoeing Team preparing for Bejing and 2012 as part of their performance program. We have used the Anatomy Trains approach to effectively body read and treat myofascial
imbalance using the anatomy trains recipe.

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the movement of the human body. I came to this structurally-integrated bodywork with extensive experience as a fitness professional and body controlled Pilates teacher. I have a background which also includes professional football, cycling, triathlon and yoga. I realised fairly early on that exercise alone was not necessarily enough to resolve many structural and/or pain problems. I, therefore, completed Kinesis Myofascial Integration training under Tom, who developed KMI. KMI extends the work of Ida P. Rolf to include more recent
musculoskeletal research and understanding. I find the combination of deep manipulation of the myofascial tissue, along with simple exersice, an effective way of rebalancing the body. I have been in private practise since 1990.
