Scope of ServicesHousing and TransportationWhen attending courses at Kinesis in Walpole, Maine, students may stay in the farmhouse in nearby Clarks Cove for approximately $50/bedroom per night. The farmhouse offers access to the wharf and river and is .7 miles from the classroom. Please contact the Kinesis office to make reservations, but call early as the rooms rent quickly! Students are responsible for making all other reservations and transportation arrangements. You can download travel directions and a list of accommodations at the the upper right of this page. For courses held at other schools, please contact the school listed for that particular course to inquire about accommodation and transportation options. Law and LicensingKMI Certification does not guarantee a license to practice massage or bodywork. State and local licensing requirements differ with location, and the courses offered by Kinesis are not structured to prepare students for licensure. Kinesis, Inc. is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider.All graduates of the KMI program are eligible for membership in the professional organization for Structural Integration practitioners – the International Association of Structural Integrators (IASI) – however this does not constitute a license. Supplies and EquipmentKinesis and/or the host school provide(s) students with all of the necessary supplies and equipment, such as tables, benches, audiovisual equipment, orthopedic skeletons, and handouts. Students are responsible for providing their own books, linens and personal supplies. |
