Fascia and Tensegrity

Combining current knowledge of the extra-cellular matrix (fascial web) with the unique geometric configuration called "tensegrity" is crucial to the understanding of suspension dynamics in the human. This vision changes many of the presumptions underlying the study of human posture, movement, and development, and leads to radically new strategies for treatment of structural malalignment and pain.

You can learn about the fascial fabric, tensegrity and its history, and how the fascial webbing around the skeleton works as a tensegrity structure.

Ann Sleeper wrote about the what she saw at the First International Facial Research Congress in an article in Massage Therapy Practice..

Tensegrity in action: Have you seen the Potato Salad Triplets?

And have you seen these sports acrobats?
