Chiropractors
Modern chiropractic health care reaches beyond simple bony readjustment to incorporate the soft tissues, as well as nutritional and stress-related factors, into the full picture of structural health.
The 'guy wires' of the myofascial system can persistently create forces that tend to pull the bones out of place. The Anatomy Trains provides a map for seeing how soft-tissue tensions or binding can exert adverse forces on the skeletal and nervous system to create chronic patterns of poor posture and vertebral strain.
Some chiropractors have used this work in their own practice; some have sent their adjunct soft-tissue therapists for training so that the soft-tissue work can most effectively complement the adjustments.
Here's what a few experts in this field have to say about Anatomy Trains:
More praise for Anatomy Trains:
I can say without reservation that Anatomy Trains has changed my life. What I have seen clinically along with the implications inherent in this paradigm are truly breathtaking. I can give a logical explanation for every disease process that walks into my office. Healing people is fun again. I am saving lives that would otherwise be ruined. I can do more and better "miracles" than I could previously, such as "curing" arthritis in patients that have otherwise lost all hope. Thank you Mr. Myers. - V.S.
Hi Tom - I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere thanks for you and this beautiful work you have brought to me, and to all of us.
I had a young man, 23, as a new patient in my office yesterday. He had been in pain on and off since he was 15, and continually for the past 8 months. He described his pain as "bone on bone, constant, grinding pain."
Thanks to what I have learned from you I was able to help him. He had a bilateral psoas spasm. I knew what it was before I got to the muscle. He did not need to be adjusted. His paraspinal muscles were not in spasm. He had been to many doctors, had MRIs, etc and no one could help him. He felt hopeless. These other doctors couldn't "see" the source of his pain.
I got in there and released the spasm. He felt an immediate difference and relief for the first time in 8 months.
I feel so grateful that I was able to help him, and I know that if I had not been exploring your teachings and using this work regularly I too, as a chiropractor, would have been unable to help him.
Thank you so much.
Andrea
