"The agreement between the distributions of the anatomically derived myofascial meridians to the conceptually based acupuncture meridians is extremely strong and unlikely to be coincidental. The myofascial meridians as described by Myers on the basis of his studies of cadaveric anatomy from a manual medicine perspective may be the key findings that expand and confirm the work of Langevin and Yandow on acupuncture meridians The work of Myers in conjunction with the work of Langevin and Yandow indicates that acupuncture meridians may very well exist physically in the connective tissue planes and myofascia of the human body."
